Welcome

Nestled in the picturesque village of Shanklin, The St Leonards is a charming guest house surrounded by natural beauty, captivating landscapes and a rich historical heritage.

We boast a variety of well-appointed rooms, designed to provide a welcoming atmosphere where you can expect tastefully decorated interiors, modern amenities and a comfortable stay. Indulge in a delightful breakfast each morning, freshly prepared and made from locally sourced ingredients.

With its stunning coastline and rolling hills, the Isle of Wight presents a diverse array of attractions and activities. From the iconic Needles and Osbourne House to water sports or serene coastal walks. There’s an abundance of activities to suit every visitor.

Since 1930, The St Leonards Guest House has been providing the ideal Isle of Wight holiday experience. In 2017, I had the privilege of taking over this remarkable historical building, leaving the mainland behind to become the proud owner. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to transforming each guest room into a haven of comfort and style, while also revamping the garden/patio area and driveway.

My passion lies in creating an inviting and welcoming home-away-from-home environment, where every guest can create lasting memories during their short break or extended holiday. It has been an absolute joy to have the opportunity to meet and connect with incredible individuals from all corners of the globe.

The St Leonards Guest House takes immense pride in its recent accomplishments, having received the esteemed 2020 Bronze Award and the prestigious 2022 Silver Award in the Best Guest House Category at the renowned Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards.

Whether you are a returning visitor or discovering The St Leonards Guest House for the first time, you can expect a warm and heartfelt welcome, accompanied by a memorable stay. Your comfort and satisfaction are at the forefront of everything we do, as we strive to create an experience that you will fondly remember long after you’ve left our doorstep.
